Since Nito and Kita both sacrificed themselves to free Milo of the Darkness a lot has happened. Taxik and Toxin, their Nobodies, have lived full and busy lives but now too have come to an untimely demise and this has enabled the girls to find their way out of the 'Inbetween' world they fell into.
Kita is now on a new adventure discovering the past of her mother and all about the 'Guardians of Heart' who are members dedicated to protecting the power of Kingdom Hearts. And discovering that she is meant to take her mother's place as the 7th Guardian but Kita doesn't think she's even close to being strong enough so instead she runs away leaving Nito behind (who goes looking for Milo, hoping he too has returned) and she goes looking for some familar faces. In her mad rush to flee from her resposiblities Kita remembers a happy time, with friendly faces and finds her self seeking out the old ToH lot and rediscovers The Race of Dreams.
